Acceptable Use Policy

This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It applies to everything you do on RoboStudio, and matters most for cloud instances, which give you shell access to real compute running on OJ Labs Ltd's infrastructure. What you run there, we are accountable for.

Do not abuse the compute

• No cryptocurrency mining, and no using instances primarily as general-purpose compute unrelated to robotics work.
• No running services for third parties, reselling access, or sharing your instance credentials so others can use compute billed to your plan.
• No deliberately circumventing compute credits, plan limits, rate limits or billing.

Do not attack anyone

• No scanning, probing, penetration testing, denial-of-service traffic or intrusion attempts against any third party, or against RoboStudio itself, from your instance.
• No sending spam or bulk unsolicited messages.
• No distributing malware, or hosting phishing or fraud infrastructure.

Do not break the boundary

• No attempting to escape your instance's sandbox, escalate privileges beyond your own instance, or reach our control plane, our cloud account, or other customers' instances, data or workspaces.
• No attempting to access another user's account, project or showcase content without their permission.
• If you discover a security flaw, use our contact form instead of exploiting it. We will not pursue anyone who reports a genuine flaw in good faith, gives us a reasonable chance to fix it, and does not access or destroy other people's data.

Do not upload unlawful or infringing content

• No content that is unlawful, or that infringes anyone's copyright, trade marks, patents or other rights — this includes models, meshes, textures and code you do not have the right to use.
• No content that is defamatory, harassing, or that sexualises children.
• Anything you publish to the public showcase is visible to anyone without signing in. Do not publish personal data, confidential material, or anything you do not have the right to make public.

Do not build unsafe robots with our output

Simulation results and exported ROS packages are not certified for safety-critical use. Do not use RoboStudio to develop control software for physical machines that could injure people without independently validating and safety-reviewing it yourself, and complying with the machine-safety law that applies where the hardware runs. This is set out in full in the Terms of Service.

What happens if you breach this policy

Depending on severity, we may remove or disable access to content, suspend or terminate an instance, or suspend or terminate your account — immediately and without refund where the breach is serious, causes harm to others, or puts our infrastructure or other customers at risk. We may also preserve and disclose information where the law requires it or where it is necessary to investigate abuse.

To report a breach of this policy, infringing content, or anything abusive hosted on RoboStudio, use our contact form. Include a link or project reference and enough detail for us to find it.
